Don't miss this rare opportunity to immerse yourself in Himalayan culture and religion! Welcome to a colorful journey around Annapurna and visit Lake Tilicho Lake, one of the highest mountain lakes in the world (4949m). This trekking is not easy but we promise you will not regret it. Along the way, you will be able to get to know many Himalayan peoples, as at least 8 different ethnic groups inhabit this region.

But the main highlight of this route, attracting more and more tourists to it, is a unique nature, which is constantly changing from tropical jungle to ice desert. You will visit the famous lake Tilicho, which has recently become known to the mass tourist. There are no words to convey the energy of this place and the powerful delight that you will experience there. You will visit the ancient town of Muktinath, which is considered sacred by both Buddhists and Hindus.

On this route, you will be accompanied by an experienced English-Spoken mountain guide who knows Nepal perfectly and has lived there for over 15 years. Such accompaniment will significantly enrich your journey and allow you to get a deeper and more subtle acquaintance with the culture and spiritual life of the peoples inhabiting the region.

Guide and porter arrangements:

Your trekking group is accompanied by an experienced English mountain guide along the entire route. He supervises all movements of the group and leads the excursion program. In addition, the group will be accompanied by several English-speaking assistants in a group size of more than 5 people.

We provide porter according to group size.

Thus, the weight of personal belongings of each participant should not exceed 15 kilograms including a day backpack.  If you would like to bring items over 15 kilograms with you, you can hire a personal porter for an additional fee.

Acclimatization: As you know, the higher the altitude, the less oxygen in the air. Too fast a climb can cause race disease, which, in turn, can lead to death. Crossing several passes on the route requires acclimatization. At some points on the route, the oxygen content is 50% of the oxygen content in the air we are used to. The body takes many days to adapt to these conditions, and for safety reasons, acclimatization is essential. Our route is designed in such a way as to minimize the risk of altitude sickness: the climb is smooth.

Detail Itinerary

Day to day Route description:

Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu:

Welcome to the Himalayan country of Nepal. After your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will meet you and help you to check into your hotel in Kathmandu. Rest of the day at the hotel and dinner at a national cuisine restaurant.

Day 2: Drive to Chamje:

In the early morning, we will set off by jeep to the starting point of our trek. A significant part of the way passes along a mountain winding serpentine through many small villages, and we will arrive at the place of the overnight stay (Chamje) in the middle of the night.

Day 3: Trek to Darapani:

The mountain trail ascends to the Tal Valley, constantly following the course of the Marciandi River. Today we cross a dense forest of bamboo and rhododendron and enter the Manang region. The place of today's night is Darapani, a typical Tibetan village.

Day 4: Trek to Chame:

Today, a rather difficult trek along the rocky ridge of the mountain, with an abundance of landslides. The ending point is Chame, the center of Manang district.

Day 5: Trek to Pisang:

We have to go along a steep narrow path through a dense forest, passing which we reach an unusual rock, towering above the river stream at a height of 1500 meters. All the way to Pisang, the road is surrounded by shining Himalayan peaks.

Day 6: Trek to Manang:

We pass the picturesque village of Braga and enter the upper Manang. Remarkably, even during the monsoon season, there is little rain over the Annapurna Ridge. The striking contrast of vegetation and landscape is immediately striking: the cold harsh climate leaves its mark. The area is teeming with high cliffs and exotic rock formations that contrast with the Himalayan peaks.

Day 7: Trek to Kangsar:

Today we will start with a tour of the old monastery in Manang. Further our path turns in the direction of Kangsar. We will follow a towering cliff, and go down to the river, along which we will continue our journey. In the afternoon we will cross the river and walk along its southern bank through the coniferous forest towards the village of Kangsar. Already approaching the village, we pass the river again, climb the slope, and enter Kangsar - the place of our today's overnight stay.

Day 8: Trek to Tilicho Base Camp:

In the morning we leave Kangsar. A newly built new road leads us towards a high ridge. In one place we find ourselves at a crossroads. From here, one path, sharply gaining height, goes in the direction of the place where the valley narrows noticeably. The other rises smoothly to the ridge. The first trail is an old road, it is difficult to follow it due to the sharp climb. The second is a new path, and it will lead us in a completely different way. We will reach a high ridge and descend a steep, rugged slope towards the main valley. Somewhere down there, a stream flows. But one of its shores is a small mountain shelter known as “Tilicho Base Camp”.

Day 9: Explore Tilicho Lakes:

This morning we leave the mountain shelter light: we are about to visit the highest lake in the world. The path, winding, leads us along the ridges, and we reach the watershed. On the other side is Lake Tilicho. The lake remains frozen for almost the entire year. Only in a few summer months does the ice melt, and the snowy peaks surrounding the lake are reflected in the turquoise water. We enjoy this splendor and in the evening we return to the hotel. About Tilicho

Day 10: Trek to Yak Kharka:

Today we set off to Yak Kharka by a short path. This trail is not open all year round, and many trekkers describe it as a rather difficult section of the path. Nevertheless, it is worth it: the untouched beauty of the places hardly visited by tourists will leave an unforgettable impression. In the evening we will reach the village of Yak Kharka, located on our main route to the Torong-la pass.

Day 11: Trek to Throng Phedi

Today we are heading to Throng Phedi, the place from where the crossing over the Torong la pass begins. The lively settlement located here serves numerous tourists and is considered a base camp before the pass.

Day 12: Trek to Muktinath, across the Throng la pass:

Today we cross the Trong La pass (5416 m) and it is important to get off as early as possible in order to have time to pass it in one day. The difficulty of this crossing, however, will be rewarded with magical views of the Himalayan peaks that are beyond imagination. Then, from the pass, begins the descent to Muktinath, the most famous place of pilgrimage for Hindus and Buddhists in Nepal.

Day 13: Trek to Jomsom:

The landscapes today are absolutely fantastic and the road runs along the plateau above Kali Gandaki, along the deepest gorges in the world. The land here is similar to Tibet, the same wild and lifeless and at times you feel completely isolated. Then the descent to warmer areas begins, it is hard to believe that landscapes can change so much in one day of walking. After lunch, we go to Jomsom, where we stop for the night.

Day 14: Flight to Pokhara:

Today, after breakfast, we leave for the airport for our flight to Pokhara. The flight takes about half an hour. The flight offers stunning views of the Annapurna Massif. Immediately upon arrival in Pokhara, we change to a minibus and leave for Kathmandu.

Day 15: Kathmandu Tour: Patan - Pashupatinath - Bodnath

This morning we will visit the Pashupatinath Hindu Temple, one of the most important Shiva temples in the subcontinent. We will see saddhus (priests, "baba") and the cremation of bodies on the banks of the sacred river Bagmati. Then you will visit the majestic Bodnath stupa, see Buddhist pilgrims spinning prayer wheels to the melodious chanting of mantras. Then we will visit the famous Patan city, filled with architecture of the 16th century. At the end of the excursion, the whole team will go to a restaurant for dinner, where we celebrate the end of the trekking.

Day 16: Depart Kathmandu

Today there is time to shop for gifts and souvenirs for your family, friends, or relatives, and then you will be transferred to the International Airport for your flight to your destination.
