Nagarjuna(2125m) peak is the nearest Hiking peak from northwest of Kathmandu. The hike starts about 15 min driving from Thamel Kathmandu. This Kathmandu Valley famous hike starts from Raniban.
Now in Nagarjuna, the last king of Nepal King Gyanendra living also called queen forest.it takes around 2 to 3 hours to the top of Nagarjuna where you can see the shrine of Padmasambhava.
Nagarjuna is the best place for meditation and Jamacho viewpoint offering the attraction of Annapurna and Langtang Himalayan range with the fascinating view of Kathmandu valley too. it takes around 1 and a half hours to hike down from the viewpoints.
