Trip Information

Langtang valley is situated 19 miles north of Kathmandu. The first Himalayan national park langtang established in 1976. The langtang valley also called the valley of glaciers trek. The Langtang Himalayan trail passes over 5308m timan pass from where you can see the panoramic view of Tibet also. We begin our trekking from lower region of Langtang Valley through small villages, Farmland to Kyangin Gumpa. We climb Tserko Ri for the panoramic sunrise view over the langtang ranges. It is one of the closest places from Kathmandu valley and the whole langtang valley is surrounded by Langtang Lirung (7245m) that offers pine forest, streams, rocks and snowcapped peaks.one the way you will follow the langtang river and stay near kyanjin Gumpa(3880m) at one of hotel here. Suggested Itinerary

Day 1st: Arrival Day in Kathmandu (1350m/4428ft) Transfer to hotel {15 minutes driving).
Day 2nd: Kathmandu World Heritage Sites sightseeing and trek preparation.
Day 3rd: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1550m/5100ft) {7-8 hours driving}.
Day 4th: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2380m/7830ft) {6 hours trek}.
Day 5th: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village to Mundu (3543m/11621ft) {6-7 hours trek}.
Day 6th: Trek from Mundu to Kyangjin Gompa (3870m/12698ft) {4-5 hours trek}.
Day 7th: Acclimatization day – Hike Tserko Ri (5000m/16404ft) {7-8 hours}.
Day 8th: Trek from Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2380m/7830ft) {6-7 hours trek}.
Day 9th: Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi (1550m/5100ft) {4-5 hours trek}.
Day 10th: Drive back from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu (1350m/4428ft) {7-8 hours driving}.
Day 11th: Shopping, final departure or extend your trip{15 minutes driving}.

Wonderful Trekking Experience
I was very very happy to do Langtang and Everest Trek with Raj and his friends. Even the trekking was little difficult for me the most experienced guide Raj Take care us very well no word to explain him simple thanks not enough.

Detail Itinerary

DAY 01:  ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU (1,300M/4,264FT)
Upon our arrival in the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, we will be greeted by a representative from Mission Himalaya Treks and Expeditions PVT Ltd who will drop us off at our hotel. After checking in, we take a rest or visit our office. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner hosted by us. For dinner, you will be served excellent authentic Nepalese cuisine which will introduce you to Nepalese food culture and typical Nepali Dance.

DAY 02:  KATHMANDU: SIGHTSEEING AND TREK PREPARATION
Today after breakfast we start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and the Buddhist shrine (Bouddhanath) which is one of the largest stupas in the world. At noon, there will be a pre-trip discussion where we can meet our trek leader and other team members. The meeting will provide us an opportunity to ask any question we may have regarding our upcoming adventure. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 03 - Drive to Syabru Besi (1,462 m)  8 hours
Early in the morning, we drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi which takes about eight hours on a public bus. Driving through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Syabru Besi passing Dhunche, we’ll get a glimpse of Ganesh Himal after driving along the mighty Trishuli River. Terraced green hills and lush forests make the drive very pleasurable. Parts of the road though may be bumpy and under construction.

Day 04 - Trek to Lama Hotel (2,500 m) - 5 hours
The first part of the trail crosses through the Bhote Koshi River and follows the Langtang Khola. This trail gradually ascends up to Bamboo (1,960 m) passing rugged paths. Afterward, our trek climbs gently to Rimche (2,400 m). We can have lunch at this place and at the end of our trail is the Lama Hotel. En route we could see red pandas, monkeys and bears if we are lucky.

Day 05 - Trek to Langtang village (3,307 m) - 5 hours
The trek route follows Gumanechok at Ghoda Tabela which literally means the Horse Stable. After this the trail climbs gradually to the beautiful valley with yaks about. Langtang is a typical village and one of the oldest along this trekking route. The views of the mountains are spectacular and become more imposing as we trek closer.

Day 06 - Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,798 m) - 4 hours
It is shorter walk today, but adequate for acclimatizing. There are some interesting things to explore, especially the famous cheese factory – don’t forget to try some locally produced cheese as fresh as it could get. This beautiful valley is on the lap of the Langtang Lirung. This is the spot where we can explore the valley and climbs several small peaks (hillocks).

Day 07 - Kyanjin Gompa Exploration Day
Today is a day to rest as we explore the area. You can visit the monastery and the cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri (4,350 m) which is the highest point of this trek, directly behind the village, for a breath-taking panorama of the Langtang peaks.

Day 08 - Trek Back to Lama Hotel (2,500 m) - 5.5 hours
We rejoin the trail to Lama Hotel.

Day 09 - Trek to Sybru Besi (1,462 m) - 5 hours
Leaving the mountains behind us, our descent takes us to the Sybru Besi where our trek started a week earlier.

Day 10 - Drive Back to Kathmandu on a Public Bus - 8 hours
After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu from Sybru Bensi which will take some 8 hours on a public bus.

Day 11 - Transfer to the International Airport for Your Final Flight Departure
The trip concludes Missoin Himalaya Treks And Exprditions PVT Ltd airport representative will drop you to Kathmandu’s Tribhuwan International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal.
