Ghale Gaun/ Homestay Trekking 

Ghale gaun trekking offers the superb breathtaking view of majestic western Himalayas including Machhapuchhare (6693m) Annapurna (8091m), Annapurna II (7939m) Annapurna IV (7525m), Lamjung Himal, Bouddha Himal ((6974m), Himalchuli (6747m) and many more smaller peaks. Ghalegaun trekking is one of the best newly opened trekking routes in Nepal which passes through nature and discover the rich culture of the region. Annapurna Ghale Gaun trek route passes through the dense forests, villages and awesome waterfalls, lush valleys, beautiful landscape. Ghalegaun, situated at the foot of Lamjung Himal in north-central Nepal, is an exotic pristine village endowed with an unparallel scenic grandeur and a home to world famous Gurkha soldiers- the Gurungs. Repository of a unique ethnic culture Ghale gaun is a true microcosm of stunning natural beauty mixed with an unspoiled ethnic lifestyle.
This trekking begins from Beshishar after 6-7 hours drive from Kathmandu, Ghale Gaun Trek goes flat way crossing over the Marsyandi, Khudi and Midim rivers; passing through rhododendrons blossoming along the way amidst the chirping of birds and wild insects. Ghanapokhara is a beautiful village heading towards development with a concept of eco-tourism. It lies at the north of Lamjung district in the close proximity of Ghalegaun at the top of Dashthar Danda at an altitude of 2100 meters. Ghalegaun and Ghanpokhara are mainly Gurung settlements; they nestle amidst mountains, rivers, streams, waterfalls and green forests. Ghalegaun trekking end at Begnastal nearby Pokhara valley. Suggested Itinerary for Gale Gaun Trekking:


Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival and Check-in to the Hotel
The representatives from Mission Himalaya Treks And Expeditions Pvt Ltd will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport upon your arrival. We then transfer you to the hotel for the overnight stay.


Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour
Today, you will visit main places of Kathmandu valley. In the morning you visit Pashupatinath, Bauddhanath, and Swayambhunath. Pashupatinath is the oldest and holiest Hindu temple; Bauddhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa are the oldest Buddhist Stupas. After launch you visit Kathmandu durbar square and Patan durbar square. In Kathmandu durbar square, you visit Kumari temple, the temple of Living goddess.


Day 3rd: Drive from Kathmandu to Bensisahar (760m/2493ft) – trek from Besishahar to Khudi (790m/2592ft) {6 hour drive and 3 hour trek}


Day 04: Trek from Khudi to Ghalegaun (2070m) – 5 Hours
Khudi is the starting point for our trek. And today, we are heading for Ghalegaun. Observing the splendid views of mountains including Annapurna and Manaslu ranges, the beautiful river valleys, we arrive at Ghalegaun. Ghalegaun offers you typical Himalayan culture and lifestyle.


Day 5th: Ghalegaun exploration day (20170m/6791ft)


Day 06: Trek from Ghalegaun to Ghanpokhara (2150m) – 3 Hours
Exploring the Ghalegaon village and its culture, we hike up to Ghanpokhara today. It takes approx. 2 hours to reach Ghan Pokhara from Ghalegaun. You will rejoice the beautiful sunrise view and surrounding mountains from Ghan Pokhara. We spend remaining time for the village tour.


Day 07: Trek from Ghanpokhara to Khudi (790m) – 5 Hours
After having a beautiful village tour, we return back to Khudi today. We will have the opportunity to witness the waterfall and caves on the way. We can also visit the construction site of Khudi Hydro Electricity Project. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.


Day 08: Drive from Khudi to Kathmandu
After having a beautiful Ghalegaon trekking, today we return back to Kathmandu. It takes approx. seven hours to reach Kathmandu. If time allows, you can utilize the remaining time to explore the Kathmandu city or you can either go for last minute shopping.


Day 09: Final Departure 
We are saying good bye to the Kathmandu as your journey in Nepal comes to an end today! We will transfer you to the airport for your returning flight.
