Day 1: Namaste and Welcome to Kathmandu airport(1350m)

 

Upon your arrival, one of our team members will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel room. If you have spare time left before the night sleep, you can utilize that time for strolling around the lively streets of Thamel and nearby Durbar Marg.

 

Day 2: Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley and Trek Preparation

 

After the morning breakfast, our guide will take you to some of the UNESCO world heritage sites for cultural and historical exploration. As you have to give some time for trek preparation also, you will only be visiting Swayambhunath Stupa(Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. After the wonderful day trip around the Kathmandu Valley, we will give you a brief introduction regarding the Amphu Laptsa Pass Trek with Everest Base Camp in the evening. Day 3: Fly Kathmandu to Lukla(2860m) and trek to Chutanga(3020m)

 

Starting the day with morning breakfast, we will immediately head to the Tribhuwan airport to catch the scheduled domestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Along with the thrilling experience, the flight blesses us with the incredible close-up vistas of the Himalayas, and emerald hills. Further, the lush forests and valleys seem to be more appealing. Upon landing at the Lukla airport, we will enjoy a luscious lunch. Thereafter, leaving the classic Everest Base Camp Trekking route aside, we will follow the trail towards Chutanga. Day 4: Chutanga to Thulikharka(4300m) via Chhatra La Pass

 

Embarking the journey with a steep ascent of Kalo Himal ridge(4444m), our trek today ends at Thulikharaka. Kalo Himal ridge isolates the Khumbu region from the Hinku valley of the Makalu region. Ascending further from Kalo Himal Ridge, we will reach the peak point of Chhatra La Pass. Due to the steep climb, the trek from Chutanga to Chhatra La Pass is quite exactingHowever, the enchanting views of the foothills of Hinku Valley, Dudh Koshi River Valley, Lumding Himal(6111m), Karyolung Himal(6511m), and many others, from this hilltop pay off all our hardships and efforts. After the completion of our wonderful ascent, we will descend to Thulikharka for the overnight stay.

 

Day 5: Thulikharka to Kothe(3691m)

 

Traversing the way through the verdant forest of pine, rhododendrons and many others, we will terminate our day's trek at Kothe. Luckily, sometimes we can catch the glimpse of Himalayan Thar, Jungle cats and many other animals during the trek. And what lures us all the time on this trail is the fascinating views of Hinku Valley and Mera Peak.

 

After several uphill and downhill ascends and descends, we will stop at Kothe, a beautiful Sherpa Village at the northside of Hinku Valley. A stay at this village, lets us explore and interact with the Sherpa people.

 

Day 6: Trek from Kothe to Thangnak(4356m)

 

After the early morning breakfast, we will trek along with the Yak pasture land and then follow the trail along the Hinku ridge to reach Gondishung. On the way, we will make our visit to the 200 years old Lung Sumba Gompa. The carvings on the rock at this Gompa depict the routes of Mera Peak and Mera Peak itself. Overall, the trial today is short and easy.

 

Day 7: Thangnak to Khare Trek(5045m)

 

We will commence our day with the short trek to Khare from Thangnak after the delicious morning breakfast. Savouring the mesmerizing vistas of Mera Peak and the glacial lake's ethereal scenic beauty, we end our day's trek at Khare. Spend the night at Khare. Khare is like the base camp for Mera Peak. As we are not going to climb Mera Peak, instead of separating a spare day we will continue our Amphu Laptsa Pass Trek with Everest Base Camp the next day.

 

Day 8: From Khare, trek to Kongme Dingma (4850m)

 

Continuing the trek from Khare we follow the trail over the icy trail of Mera Glacier. Trekking further uphill and downhill, we will reach the dry land of Kongme Dingma. It is the junction point for redirecting towards the Mera Peak via Mera La Pass. The entire trek today is quite challenging. By sleeping under the tented camps at Kongme Dingma we will remove all our tiredness.

 

Day 9: Trek from Kongme Dingma to Seto Pokhari(5035m)

 

Prepare yourself mentally and physically to overcome all the challenges on the way. On this day we will be trekking along the steep glacier moraine and rock trails. Before reaching Seto Pokhari we will cross several moraine deposits. Literally known as White Pond, the place of Seto Pokhari consists of five glacial lakes. Somewhere nearby these lakes we will camp for the overnight.

 

Day 10: Head to Amphu Laptsa Base Camp(5650m) from Seto Pokhari

 

 

 

Starting the day with a gradual and steep climb over the moraine, glaciers, frozen rivers, and streams we will stop at the Amphu Laptsa Base Camp for the overnight sleep. As we will have to cross the high pass the next day, so our guide will trail us for the next day's trek. Further, the guide checks the weather and makes sure whether it is safe to climb the Pass or not? Sometimes it is possible to trek without technical gears. However, many times trekking gears are a must. It becomes a blessing if you have the idea of using the trekking gears like Climbing gears and so on. For conquering the safe and secure steep towards Imjatse Valley, our guide will train you totally regarding the use of fixing ropes and all.

 

Day 11: Amphu Laptsa Base Camp to Amphu Laptsa Pass(5845m) to Chhukung(4733m)

Starting the morning with a steep climb to the sheer point of the Amphu Laptsa Pass, relish the spectacular views of Imjatse Valley and surrounding Peak. After reaching the Pass top, we will descend towards Chhukung Valley with the help of ropes. After spending some days under the tented camps, we will spend our night in Chhukung in the beautiful lodge room.

 

 

Day 12: Chhukung to Lobuche(4940m) via Kongma La Pass(5530m)

 

 

Most of the trekkers joining the Amphu Laptsa Pass Trek descend downwards from Chhukung valley towards Dingboche, Tengboche, Namche Bazaar, and Lukla respectively to terminate their trek journey. However, as we will be including Everest Base Camp on our itinerary, we will today wake up early to conquer the highest Kongma La Pass. Admiring the views of Amphu Laptsa Pass, Island Peak valley, and the surrounding mountains we will enter the wide basin dotted with the tiny frozen lakes. From there, we will ascend towards the trail over the scree to reach Kongma La Pass.

 

The flattering prayer flags and the view of Icy Lake and the Khumbu Glacier with the panoramic mountain views are there at the Pass top to astonish us. Proceeding the trek from there, the trail leads us towards the north via the moraine of Khumbu Glacier. After the strenuous final descent, we will finally reach Lobuche.

 

Day 13: Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep(5140m)to Everest Base Camp(5364m) and retrace the route back to Gorakshep

 

Following the classic Everest Base Camp Trek route from Lobuche, we will today trek to the Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep. Being in the foothills of the world's highest Mount Everest is the dream of most adventure lovers throughout the world. Upon conquering the Everest Base Camp, our happiness and excitement limits no bound. With some great time spent at the Mount Everest foothills, we will retrace the trail back to Gorakshep. Overnight stay at Gorakshep.

 

Day 14: Gorakshep to Kala Patthar(5550m) trek and descend to Periche(4240m)

 

The sunrise view over the spectacular Mount Everest is something that should not be missed during the Kala Patthar trek. So, we too get up early to relish the stunning sunrise views over the majestic Mount Everest. Furthermore, the panoramic view of Mt Pumori, Mt Khumbtse, Mt Nuptse, Mt Lhotse, and many other mountains lures you from all around. After savouring the beauty of pristine nature we will make we descend to Periche through Gorakshep and Lobuche.

 

Day 15: Trek down to Tengboche(3860m) from Periche

 

After the days of high altitude trek today, we will trek down on the easy trail towards the lower altitude. Witnessing the herds of yaks on the way we will descend to Tengboche through Pangboche and Deboche. Upon reaching Tengboche we will explore the biggest Monastery in the Khumbu Region, Tengboche Monastery. With Mount Ama Dablam on the backdrop, Tengboche Monastery lets you explore the Buddhist shrines and Buddhist culture.

 

Day 16: Tengboche to Namche Bazaar Trek(3440m)

 

Descending the trek through Syangboche and Khumjung, we will hike down to the Namche Bazaar from Tengboche. The blissful walk amidst the lush forest greets you with the captivating views of Mt Everest, Mt Nuptse, Mt Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Lhotse, and many others.

 

Namche Bazaar is the commercial hub and gateway to most of the treks of the Everest region. Upon reaching Namche Bazaar there are several exciting things to do here. Either strolling around the streets of Namche Bazaar or by visiting the Namche monastery, we can have a wonderful time at the Namche Bazaar.

 

Day 17: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla

 

Taking the early morning breakfast, we will trek through the beautiful forest of pine and rhododendron before crossing the Bhote Koshi river to reach Monjo. Continuing the trek from Monjo, we will descend along the Dudh Koshi river before a steep climb to Lukla. It is our final day on the trekking trails of the Amphu Laptsa Pass Trek with Everest Base Camp. Thus, to make our trip more memorable we will celebrate this day here at Lukla. Stay overnight at Lukla.

 

Day 18: Return to Kathmandu from Lukla(2840m)

 

Today we will catch the scheduled flight from Lukla airport back to Kathmandu. As you will have plenty of spare time in Kathmandu this day, you can utilize that time for souvenir shopping.

 

Day 19: Transfer to the Tribhuwan International airport.

It is your departure day. Our team member will transfer you to the Tribhuwan International Airport.
