Trip Overview

This trekking 17 to 20 days long and is certainly a difficult and harder trek compare to Everest base camp trekking. But the view from high passess and Gokyo Lake will be amazing. This trekking will help you to discovering the gems of Everest khumbu region. We cross 3 highest passes in the Everest region Kongma la pass (5535m), chola pass (5420m) and rengo-la pass (5340m) and trekking Everest base camp (5365m) kalapatthar trekking (5545m) and Gokyo ri Gokyo lake was amazing. This trek is better for the true adventure lover for a challenging trek to Everest region. This trek enables you to learn more about breathtaking mountains view, Sherpa villages, homes, Sherpa lifestyle, Monasteries and so on. This challenging trekking of khumbu is also known as Everest high pass trek, Everest three passes trek or Everest high trek. It makes complete circuit from Namche (the gateway of Everest). You can do this trek either clockwise or anticlockwise. High level of fitness is required for this trekking. September to November and March to May is the best trekking season for this trek. Suggested Itinerary

Day 1st: Arrival day in Kathmandu transfer to hotel (1350m/4429ft) {20 minutes driving}

Day 2nd: Kathmandu valley sightseeing and trek preparation (1350m/4429ft).

Day 3rd: Fly to Lukla, Trek from Lukla to Phakding (2,651m/8,700ft) {40 minutes flight, 3 – 4 hours trek}

Day 4th: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft) {11km/ 5 – 6 hours}

Day 5th: Namche Bazaar: Rest and acclimatization

Day 6th: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860m/12,660 ft) {10km/ 5 – 6 hours}

Day 7th: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft) {9km/ 5 – 6 hours}

Day 8th: Dingboche: acclimatization and rest

Day 9th: Trek from Dingboche to Chhukung (4750m/15,580 ft), climb Chhukung Ri (5,546m) {14km/ 6 – 7 hours}

Day 10th: Trek from Cross to Kongma La pass (5535m/18,159ft), trek to Lobuche (4940m/16,210ft) {10km/ 6 – 7 hours}

Day 11th: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170 m/16,961ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5364 m/17,594 ft) {13km/ 6-7 hours}

Day 12th: Trek from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5545 m/18,192 ft), then to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft) {7km/ 8 – 9 hours}

Day 13th: Trek from Lobuche to Dzongla (4830m/15,850 ft) {6km/ 3 – 4 hours}

Day 14th: Trek from Trek to Gokyo (4800m/15,580 ft) via Cho La pass (5368m/17,611 ft) {6km/ 7 – 8 hours}

Day 15th: Rest day in Gokyo: Climb Gokyo Ri (5357m/17,575 ft), tour 4th and 5th Gokyo lakes {3 – 4 hours}

Day 16th: Trek from Gokyo to Marlung (4210m/13,810 ft) via Renjo La Pass (5360m/17585 ft) {11km/ 7 – 8 hours}

Day 17th: Trek from Marlung to Namche Bazaar {15km/ 5 – 6 hours}

Day 18th: Trek From Namche Bazaar to Lukla {19km/ 6 – 7 hours}

Day 19th: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu {40 minutes flight}

Day 20th: Final Departure

Cost Includes

  1. Airport pickups and drops in a private vehicle including before and after the trek
  2. Tourist standard hotel accommodation in Kathmandu with breakfast as per the itinerary
  3. Teahouse accommodation during the trek as per the itinerary
  4. Meals on full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner with up to 3 cups of hot drinks) during the trek
  5. All ground transportation on a comfortable private vehicle as per the itinerary
  6. Domestic flights (Kathmandu- Lukla -Kathmandu including for the guide) with all applicable taxes
  7. An experienced, English-speaking and government-licensed trek leader and assistant trek leader (6 trekkers: 1 assistant guide) with meals, accommodation, salary and insurance
  8. Strong, experienced, porter service (2 trekkers: 1 porter) with all meals, accommodation, salary and insurance
  9. Down jacket and sleeping bag (to be returned after trip completion)
  10. All necessary paperwork and trekking permits (National Park Permit, TIMS)

Cost Excludes:

  1. Nepalese visa fee, International air tickets, travel and medical insurance, emergency evacuation costs
  2. Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu because of early arrival, late departure, early return from mountain (due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary
  3. Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu (also in the case of early returns or late departures than schedued program)
  4. Personal expenses (phone calls, laundry, bar bills, extra drinks, battery recharge, extra porters, bottle or boiled water, hot shower, etc.)
  5. Tips for guide(s), porter(s) and driver(s)
